@adrianbarich @MattThompson @Madelaine_Burke Sadly nothing changes. Compassionate/work grounds are unchanged for returning West Australians. We can only hope my wife's mum is still with us by 5 Feb and that my 14 year old doesn't get too far behind (and copes) in her new school. And we find a place to live in the meantime!

@adrianbarich @MattThompson @Madelaine_Burke Run the risk? My family/job is moving home to perth. My wife’s mum needs 24/7 care - my wife is a nurse. Her dad can’t cope. We have been rejected 6 times in 4 months despite dr/work evidence. We no longer have a home in melb. My daughter won’t be back for school. It’s heartless.

@braddavo 18 months and 8 failed attempts to get back to Perth from Melb to see parents aged in their 80s. And the gloating West Australian paper front page today...great that WA people are safe...but yuk.
