Today I have announced the appointment of Mr Robert Fitzgerald AM as the Age Discrimination Commissioner. The Commissioner works to protect older Australians and address barriers to equality and participation caused by age discrimination.

Shared this view on the Voice on Facebook, but too big to post here. Only my opinion, but we all need to think for ourselves on this a bit more. We seem to be getting swayed by the wrong things on this - social media, politicans .... learn about, and vote for yourself

I keep hearing ‘you have lost this, you may as well lay down and die’.
I don’t believe that.
I believe Australians will look at this on the day and say, ‘well this is a decent, honourable, good thing for us to do.’
To the Australian people, young and old.
I have lived through many of these extraordinary moments in this country.
The Voice is now our moment.
Vote Yes.

I was asked if I was prepared for a “No” result; I said we already live in “No”. We’ve been told “No” for 200+ years. The High Court told Yorta-Yorta “No” in 2002; I was there. I’d sooner try “Yes” or even, “Of Course”.
WE are so proud to reveal our building makeover that continues to tell our story 18-months after the floods, celebrating rebuilding the Koori Mail - our national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander newspaper - on the lands of the Widjabul Wiabal people of the Bundjalung nation.
The Voice referendum will be October 14.
I’ve walked this path long enough to know this is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for change.
So get enrolled and start the conversation with your family and friends.
This will be a historic campaign.
