After perusing 25,000 comments in the past two days, most of which attempt to explain why Americans are voting for Communists, socialists, and antisemites in record numbers, I’ve done the only rational thing a man in my position can do; I’ve agreed to go on Real Time with Bill Maher this Friday to talk about it.
What could possibly go wrong?
I was also inspired by all the "sturm und drang" to make a quick commercial that highlights one of our many scholarship recipients who mastered a trade, and then went on to open her own business. Her name is Maryssa, and while I have no idea what her politics might be, I can assure you that her attitude, her initiative, and her work ethic are proof positive that the American Dream is still in reach, for any who would grab it and go.

Here is what the left expected to happen during the World Cup: Europeans were supposed to smirk at us. They were supposed to mock our religion and our guns. They were supposed to turn away in righteous disgust at our abundance and free refills and buffet lines and big trucks and big houses. They were supposed to shake their heads at our supposed lack of culture. They were supposed to see a racist behind every tree and under every rock. They were supposed to catch a glimpse of discord and poverty and hate and perpetual ignorance. And they were supposed to leave here hating this country even more so than when they arrived.
But they didn’t.
They fell in love with us. And by “us,” I mean the real, everyday America. They didn’t go to the Met Gala; they went to Walmart. They didn’t dine at the French Laundry; they ate at Waffle House. They didn’t scoff at bigger portions; they consumed them with glee. They weren’t impressed by Priuses; they were impressed by Ford F-150s. They didn’t sniffily order some 25-syllabled cup of pretention from the local fair trade cafe; they drank American beer, listened to American country music, and ate American bar food. They don’t marvel at inner-city legal drug zones; they marvel at the wide open expanses of American beauty.
They love ranch dressing. They love the military flyovers. They love the gas stations. They love the 24/7 business hours. They love the huge American flags.
In short, everything our visitors love about America is everything the left hates about America. The leftists watch this in paralyzing horror. This wasn’t supposed to happen. Foreigners were supposed to return to their homelands and report that America is exactly what Barack Obama, Michael Moore, and Sasha Baron Cohen told them it was.
But that’s not going to happen now. Because our foreign guests realize that everything their "elites" told them about us has been a disgusting lie. Just like everything our "elites" tell us about ourselves is a disgusting lie.
But the most important lesson I hope the Europeans take home with them is this. Patriotism is a moral virtue. It’s good to be proud of your country. And despite what the government, the public schools, the universities, Hollywood, social media, the elite globalists, and both the domestic and foreign media tell us, Americans are proud of their country. And if visiting Europeans can see through the lie they’ve been sold about America, I hope they can see the lie they’ve been told about themselves.

Rules:
1. Tenure / No Pension. A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they're out of office. And no more perks go with them.
2. Congress (past, present, & future) participates in Social Security. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.
3. Congress must purchase their own retirement plan, just as ALL Americans do.
4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise at the same rate as the COLA for monthly Social Security recipients minus 1% if having a budget balance deficit.
5. Congress loses their current care system and participates in the same health care system (Medicare) as the American people.
6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people (i.e. NO MORE INSIDER TRADING!!!).
7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women. Congress made all these contracts by and for themselves.
Serving in Congress is an honor and privilege, NOT a career.
The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators should serve their term(s), then go home and go back to work … not get all kinds of freebies. Term limits of 2 terms and treat them like a regular citizen!

The Republican majority passed three Democrat-authored spending bills totaling more than $1.2 billion.
Most of that money went straight to Africa and Haiti in the form of "foreign aid."
Only about 20 Republicans voted NO on all three bills.
The rest either voted yes or conveniently abstained from the roll call.
This wasn't incompetence or compromise.
This was outright betrayal.
And guys, PRIMARIES won't fix this problem.
Because EVERYONE HAS THEIR PRICE.
We've watched the same cycle play out for years.
Challengers get just enough funding to look serious.
Incumbents survive or barely win.
Then, they immediately return to voting for massive foreign giveaways and omnibus bills.
It could be defense contractor PAC money.
It could be Chamber of Commerce checks.
It could be Big Ag subsidies.
It could be future lobbying jobs or board seats.
It could be book deals or quiet assurances of no real primary threat.
The UNIPARTY no longer fears OR RESPECTS we the voters.
It only fears losing access to the MONEY SPIGOT.
And until that spigot gets shut off permanently, these people will keep selling out the country ONE MIDNIGHT VOTE AT A TIME.
Wake up.
Stop pretending the system can be fixed through the same broken process.
It can't.

Last week in Baltimore, Uber charged me $85 for a trip that usually costs $20. I looked into the way their "surge pricing" model actually works, and didn’t like what I learned. So today, after checking out of my hotel in Oklahoma, I called Lyft instead and was picked up by a guy named Mike. He was driving a red F-150. It was clearly a work truck, full of tools and lumber. I sat up front.
“How far to the airport,” I asked.
“Fifteen minutes,” he said. “You in a hurry?”
“Not really,” I said. “Are you?”
“Never.”
As we merged onto the highway and settled into the slow lane, I asked Mike if he was a carpenter in real life.
“Among other things,” he said.
“Jack of all trades?”
“Well, I don’t know about that,” he said. Back in the seventies, I was a plumber’s helper. Then I worked for a spell in the heating and air condition game.”
“How was that?,” I asked.
“Hot and cold,” he said.
I honestly couldn’t tell if he was making a joke or not. His voice had a classic midwestern drawl, and there was no expression on his face as he stared out the windshield.
“After that, I started carpentry. Trim, then framing. Then I moved on to building custom cabinets in rich people’s houses. Figured out how to build spiral staircases and furniture. Did pretty good.”
“You retired now?
“No. I build campers these days.”
“What kind of campers?” I asked.
“I build them small ones you can tow pretty much anywhere. They call ‘em teardrop trailers. Got really popular during the lockdowns. I build ‘em by hand, one at a time.”
“Yeah? How’s the quality,” I asked.
“Pretty good,” he said.
“Got a website,” I asked.
“Sure,” he said. “Gotta have a website these days.”
“What’s your website called,” I asked.
“Mike’s Pretty Good Campers.”
I still couldn’t tell if he was messing with me.
“Your company is called 'Mike’s Pretty Good Campers?'”
“I like to manage expectations,” said Mike.
"Under promise and over deliver?"
"That's the idea," said Mike.
"Is that what you were doing before you picked me up just now? Building a pretty good camper?”
“Yup. But I was starting to get frustrated. And I don’t like to work when I’m frustrated. So, every now and then I gotta step away.”
“And drive a stranger to the airport?” I said.
“Never too frustrated to drive,” said Mike. “Driving relaxes me. Besides, we ain’t strangers no more, are we?”
“No,” I said. “I suppose we’re not.”
As we turned on Airport Road, I said, “So what’s the plan? Drop me off and wait for another call? Or head back to the shop and finish building that pretty good camper?”
“Ain’t decided yet. Guess I'll see how I feel in a few minutes.”
“Good plan,” I said. “By the way, if I like your website, do you care if I share it on Facebook?”
“Why would you want to do that?” he asked.
“I’ve got a few people who follow me on social media,” I said. "I'm not sure why they do, but they do. Maybe some of them are in the market for a pretty good camper, custom made by a quasi-retired carpenter who drives for Lyft when he’s feeling frustrated?”
“Can’t hurt,” said Mike. “Once people see these things, they fall in love with ‘em. They got whole conventions all over the country for teardrop trailer owners. Thousands show up. You wouldn’t believe how people decorate ‘em and such.”
"I don't know about that, Mike. I'll believe pretty much anything these days."
As we pulled up to the airport, Mike asked me what carrier I was on.
“American,” I said. “Right here is fine.”
“Pre-check?” he asked.
“Yes,” I said.
“Well then, you don’t want to get out at American. Let me take you all the way to the end, otherwise you got a walk across the whole dang the terminal.”
We pulled up to the curb at the very end of Will Rogers Airport. I hopped out, as Mike dragged my bags out of the bed of his work truck.
“You look familiar,” he said. “Have I driven you before?”
“I don’t think so,” I said. “I would have remembered. Thanks for the lift.”
“No problem,” he said. “Was the ride okay?”
I agree with her. The level of HATE is EXHAUSTING.
It is extremely exhausting when these people can't see that President Trump is just trying to make America safe again. He is trying to right the wrongs of Joe Bidens' presidency.

Yesterday, for the first time, I turned my back on a liberal neighbor and walked away. For Charlie.
I get asked daily by conservatives how I can possibly live in the most liberal town of the most liberal state.
Truth is, I’ve always been fascinated by how they think. I usually just laugh at the irrational takes.
But a single gunshot drained all curiosity and humor out of me.
He simply asked how I was. I said I was sad. He asked why.
“It’s 9/11. My dad was FDNY. And yesterday I lost a friend.”
His face softened. “I’m so sorry.”
I didn’t want to cry, so I backpedaled. “It’s ok, we weren’t close. Just spoke a few times but he felt like a good friend.”
“Who was it?” he asked.
“Charlie Kirk.”
Empathy turned to anger. Like I’d tricked him.
“Well, I don’t know him, and I don’t care what happens to him.”
“But he was my friend. I’m your friend. Isn’t that enough to care?”
He pivoted to politics. Gun violence. Assault weapon bans. “You people.”
I said it was a bolt-action rifle. He didn’t care. He said he didn’t care about Charlie.
Even though Charlie was a father? A friend? A believer?
“No,” he said. But his body language betrayed him. He did care.
Then: “I don’t want to talk politics.”
“I’m not,” I said. “I lost a friend. A friend with a wife and two beautiful daughters.”
Again: “I don’t care.”
So I turned and walked away.
He could have changed the subject, asked me about my Dad and 9/11 instead. But he was fixated on political drama not true empathy.
Some Republicans will say I should’ve stood my ground, yelled, fought back, told him off.
Some Democrat friends will say I should’ve leaned in harder with empathy and spent time getting him to understand my point of view.
But here’s the truth: I’m done.
Done debating. Done convincing. Done trying to “win” them over.
Charlie lived that. He spoke truth with compassion, even behind “enemy lines.” He never saw Democrats as the enemy. He saw Americans missing key pieces of the truth. He gave empathy and respect coupled with hard truths until his last dying breath.
He was a better man than me. Better than most of us.
And now he’s gone.
I’m not a great men Charlie, I’m a Captain in the U.S. Merchant Marine. We don’t talk, or seek glory & fame, don’t ask for thanks or forgiveness. We just move cargo. LOTS of cargo.
Our motto is simple: Acta Non Verba.
Actions, not words.
So why don’t I fight harder in my own neighborhood? Why do I let it go when a neighbors took down my flag on “no kings day”? Why do I remove the Trump magnet on my tesla when I get home.
Because the consequences are real. They don’t just punish me my kids will suffer for the sins of the father. But as the man said, he doesn’t care. That’s the line I won’t let them cross.
And because I do not have the courage of Charlie.
But gratitude for Charlie demands something more. Something bigger than my town which isn’t going to change. Debate is over. Tears are over. The time for action is here.
Not violence. Not riots. Not theatrics.
Political action.
Votes. Campaign cash. Pink slips across DC. Crowds of conservatives in every GOP office in congress demanding they stop doing TV appearances and start playing hardball.
Laws flipped at local, state & federal levels.
A dozen Scott Preslers in every California & Vermont farm town & every NYC church, rising Christians to vote out Sanders, Newsom, AOC & Mamdani.
An army of white hats exposing criminal NGOs, with Mike Benz, Data Republican, and a phalanx of lawyers volunteering for Will Chamberlain to get convictions.
Mass action against every Marxist policy.
We will not out-scream them. We will out-organize them. You can literally debate them until your last dying breath and nothing will change.
They don’t care and there is no way to change the mind of an apathetic man.
The time for debate is over.
We must speak softly and start carrying a big stick.

Amfest was my first political event December of 2023, with my sister. The backlash I got for attending lit a fire under my ass and I spoke the next year at the same event on top of campaigning for @realdonaldtrump. I will speak again in 2025.
