These are just a few of the many many names of educated people who actually rose to the top of the ranks and led in ANC structures between the 60s and 90s — what you refer to as “this era”.
It is a bare-faced lie to say that all you needed was Grade 10 and good English. On the contrary, the ANC has, until recently, always had a culture of scholarship and thought leadership. What you have just tweeted is dog-whistling lie that has no foundation in history.
We need to read up on our history to avoid such. ANC leaders are many things, but uneducated is not one of them.
