@EastStandL29 @GrahamSmyth Remains to be seen how it’s spent. I would imagine there’s a plan in place, may well include Rasmus and Wober. But would be surprised if there aren’t significant additions as well.
@Punjabi_whites Assuming that they are servicing there current level of debt (ie paying required interest) then they don’t need to use money received from transfer to reduce overall debt. Selling players will however create some psr transfer headroom and they can reinvest that in new players.
@L33D5WF2@WitlessWolrab@_KnowlesyKnows McGuire said we were on the right side of psr prior to Gray sale. If that was the case then wouldn’t he be on this years accounts?
@Marshal16204476@whitevanlam @YorkieBarNone @LUFC He did but I don’t that changes the calculation for psr. I think the club can still write off psr loss over the original contract.
It’s all pretty complicated tbf, but if you’re interested I’d recommend the Price Of Football podcast, great insight into Pl/EFL club finances 👍
@whitevanlam @YorkieBarNone @Marshal16204476@LUFC I don’t think that’s quite how it works in terms of psr. If we bought him for £18m on a 4yr contract it means that we can write off £4.5m each year. If we have him for 3yrs then in terms of psr we can write off £13.5m. Sell for £3m leaves psr loss of £1.5m
@ManagerTactical Can only base our opinions on what we saw when he played for us . Didn’t have the impact you would expect from a top class international player 🤷♂️
@PhilHay_ Huge call for the owners! 12 games left, do they think bringing in a new manager/system will secure pl status, with the same mediocre championship squad that Bielsa has taken to where we are now ??? Absolutely crazy, let him run otherwise relegation is on them 🤷♂️
A woman prosecuted for breaking lockdown rules told a court she had inadvertently attended an illegal gathering.
"It was not intentional...I didn't realise there would be others present".
She was convicted and fined £250
