Mixing pigments and testing light reflections to find the exact tone of salmon. The quiet research behind the art. #IndigoRealm #ColorResearch #StudioProcess

A moment of repetition, where difference reveals itself. The handmade process, where each stroke is a universe unto itself.

The work stays the same.
The way we see it never does.
Different angles. Different distances. Different eyes.
Perhaps every photograph becomes another encounter with the work.

[Mel Cheong @707mel]

The artwork stays the same, but the experience never does.
Every person brings their own moment to it.
Perhaps that is part of what makes a finished artwork feel unfinished.

[Mel Cheong @707mel]

There is something strange about repeating the same movement while carving.
You make one cut, then another, trying to follow the same rhythm — but your hand never quite moves in exactly the same way.
Maybe that difference is part of the making.

In this changing seasons of time, you will find that buying an artwork can improve the quality of life, while buying more clothes may just be for the sake of the others' eyes.

In my culture, we will put tangerine during New Year because the name “桔” means “Good Fortune”, and the plant is beautiful during after winter and grow with many leaves, meaning “Good Health” too.
PM if interested.
