Today I confirmed that someone whom I trusted and loved has been lying to me since the day I met them.

This post isn’t to drag them, be angry with them, or call them out.

At this point, I just genuinely wish to fully start moving on and walking away.

I don’t love who I became while I was with them, some moments were amazing, but I don’t like the type of person I’ve seen myself become over the last year.

At this point I feel 2 things:

1. Sadness. I actually just wish them well while I fully let them go.

2. Free. I second guessed so many things because of their lies and thought that so many problems were my own fault. It’s validating to at least know now that they were dishonest. And even though I feel sad right now, I finally have the chance to fully walk away and start over.

This post is for me.

I want to remember how I feel today. I want to remember what it was like to learn about their lies, but I also want to remember what it feels like to know that life will move on. That I can rebuild whatever kind of life I want and be happy. To have the freedom to pursue a genuine, selfish, happiness.

In a weird way, I am thankful for this pain. I think I was meant to meet this person and for them to be a lesson and a reminder that life is short and I can’t waste it. And I’m also thankful that they showed me so many more things about myself that I didn’t know beforehand.

I know I don’t post here often, but I think when I finally work back to who I’m supposed to be, I’ll be doing that.

So I guess look forward to whatever slop I’ll be putting on your timeline.

Thank you for reading this if you did, I’m gonna take a little time then come back swinging. I miss content, and I miss pushing myself. I’m sure I won’t be perfect, but I get to try and that’s what matters. ❤️
