@TheGamerGuy1981@Avm371998@Lucas_Enigma@phatmillips@TheDavidVinc You really think a Persona game is gonna be the one to break Switch 2’s back? We already have Rebirth, Indiana Jones, RE9, Pragmata, Cyberpunk, etc. which all run great. If it can run those, it can definitely run a Persona game
@John47808565@ShitpostRock2 I don't think you realize what skill ceiling means. Have you seen speedruns of any Mario game before? Obviously beating the games normally aren't difficult, but that's not even remotely close to where the skill ceiling falls.
@John47808565@ShitpostRock2 Ever heard of low skill floor, high skill ceiling? It's intentionally made accessible for a wide demographic of players, while also providing depth in its mechanics to allow for more skill expression. By your definition then, all games in the sandbox genre are bad.
@John47808565@ShitpostRock2 It’s more of a statement on understanding/mastery of game mechanics vs. passively interacting with them or even straight up ignoring them
@super_ult and it's as you said, simply playing just ONE race will put those players on the leaderboard. It's not an accurate measurement of the actual active player base
@super_ult That's only during events where players have an external incentive to play the game though. I just played a few online matches, and the rank spread across every match looked like this. Such big rank disparity can only be explained by a lack of players
@super_ult and before anyone convinces themselves that I want to see this game fail for some reason, I bought the Deluxe Edition at launch. I really wanted a proper competitor to Mario Kart that's also available across all platforms, but even I stopped playing after just 15 hours
@super_ult I mean, it lost its player base really fast, and that's never a good thing for an online game. Just one month after its release, the player count dropped from 13k to an average of ~2k. It's currently not even reaching 1k nowadays.
@Finalblueman@magatsuizanyagi I feel the same exact way towards the Persona games. Played through all of P5R and P3R, but both just felt like 100+ hour slogfest with uninteresting characters and writing to me
@_Meavina_@z_Mak297 Yeah, you didn't directly state "it would be better open world", but you literally implied that exact sentiment with what you said. You're nitpicking at anything and everything I say to make it seem like you weren't just complaining lmao
@_Meavina_@z_Mak297 Correct, you are not dissatisfied with the game. You are dissatisfied with the fact that it's not open world, AKA complaining that it's not open world. Must I repeat myself over such simple concepts for you to understand?
@71218a@z_Mak297 No I’m not dissatisfied with the game, I didn’t say I am no longer interested. I’m just saying my excitement levels dropped a bit because I was hoping for an open world.
Good try though
@Kaorumitsurugi Sure, there are more than a few abominations that come out from AAA studios nowadays, but saying it's unsalvageable is disingenuous. There's honestly been more success stories than failures. RE9, Pragmata, Death Stranding 2, Lego Batman, Forza Horizon 6, etc.
