@MelissaGib11527 @AvantiWestCoast It's a shambles and it shouldn't be. My son has travelled many times to Glasgow and this is not the first time this has happened. There should be a much better contingency plan in place for a line that does not offer an alternative route. Hope your daughter gets home soon.

@AvantiWestCoast hi my sons train from wbq was delayed which meant he wouldn't make his connection at Preston to get to Glasgow. So we rebooked him on the 18.12 from Liverpool to Glasgow which he has just got on only to find out its only going as far as Preston!?!
