Of all the many evil betrayals I’ve seen in the last 60 years I’ve been alive, I’m struggling to think of any that match what Trump and Musk did to innocent Ukrainian citizens while Putin was sending missiles this way. A trio to live on in infamy well after I am gone
Another way to think about Trump announcement today: If he increased US diesel imports from Canada by 4%, he would gain as much fuel as from this Russia deal. But the Canadians are global super-villains, so who wants to buy from them when you could enrich Putin instead?
Up until 10 years ago, such brazen racism would have ended the career of even the most rightwing politician.
Today you can be president. We are in a very dark place as a country.
They’ve been dumping shit in the rivers for six years and the punishment is a fine smaller than the CEO’s annual bonus. We get the sewage and the price rises, they get the dividends. It fucking stinks, in more ways than one.
Just 4 months after the local elections, Reform UK (RefUK) have lost 158 of their local councillors:
-55 resigned
-42 went Independent
-28 defected
-24 were kicked out
-5 lost their seats
-2 disqualified
-2 suspended.
Appalling record - and a waste of taxpayers’ money!
🚨 WATCH: Laura Kuenssberg dismantles Nigel Farage’s latest defence
Farage on a meeting discussing potentially enormous donations:
“I frankly wasn’t even listening.”
Then:
“I know donation law better than anybody.”
Then he categorically guarantees foreign money has NEVER been funnelled to Reform in the manner alleged.
Laura: How can you know that when you’ve just admitted you weren’t listening?
Farage:
“I’m not a compliance officer, I’m a leader. I shake hands and take photographs.”
Laura:
“You’re the leader, the buck stops with you.”
Precisely.
Farage has spent years presenting Reform as the tightly controlled political machine he created.
All-powerful CEO when taking the credit. Mr Bean when anyone asks who was minding the shop.
You can’t have it both ways.
Huge story about the ethnic cleansing of two million Palestinians that has been completely ignored by @BBCWorld, @nytimes, @thetimes and most of the legacy media
"Far-right Israeli minister outlines plan for removal of all Palestinians from Gaza"

The most interesting part of this report is James Orr admitting on camera that there's very little financial support for Reform coming from the UK.
The vast majority of their donations come from abroad.
Foreign money trying to destroy UK democracy with Farage as the vessel.
It rained....
And as predicted on @LBC with @HenryRiley1 not 48 hours ago.
Anything in brown is sewage being dumping into the environment right now, in real time, anything in red is sewage dumped over the last 24 hours.
"More families are set to save money." Let's look at the numbers.
An 800W plug-in solar kit saves £70-£110 a year. The government's own headline is £110 best case, south-facing, no shade, someone home all day.
No battery storage allowed under the new rules. So if the sun's generating and nobody's home using it, that energy goes nowhere useful.
You can't store it. You can't sell it back these kits don't qualify for the Smart Export Guarantee.
The October price cap is £1,792 a year. This saves £110 best case. That's a 6% dent in your annual bill if everything goes perfectly.
And here's the kicker: no kit has actually been certified yet. The law changed today. The certified products don't exist yet. Argos says they're "really pleased to offer" them.
Screwfix says "in the fall." So the government's announcing savings from products you can't actually buy.
Germany has 1.5 million balcony solar households already. They allowed batteries. They allowed export. They made it work.
We've legalised a panel with no battery, no export, and no certified kit on sale. That's not an energy policy. That's a press release.
BUILD UK energy charter: solar + batteries on every roof, household storage, community generation, export to grid. The whole system. Not 6%.
