A NEET Twist - Proxy Candidate Network Exposed Again
Weeks after the NEET-UG paper leak triggered a retest, investigators have uncovered an alleged proxy candidate network that may have compromised the June 21 re-exam as well.
According to the investigation:
• Nine alleged "solvers" have been arrested.
• The accused includes candidates, impersonators, and 18 members of the biometric verification team.
• Investigators allege genuine candidates completed biometric verification but stayed outside the exam hall, while proxy test-takers entered using forged Aadhaar cards and altered admit cards.
• Proxy candidates reportedly earned ₹10–15 lakh per exam, while middlemen allegedly charged candidates ₹40–50 lakh.
The case raises fresh questions about the integrity of high-stakes examinations and whether existing security measures are enough to prevent organised examination fraud.
