Not a joke— Nearly two years in the making, I’m excited to announce I wrote a new book with @JackFritzWIP. It’s about the teams, players, moments (and mascots) that helped forge our love affair with the Fightin’ Phils.
Check it out at https://t.co/lY82ENpr5T and in book stores May 27 ⚾️
Playing in Philly is like playing a postseason game everywhere else…even when it's just a regular-season game.
That’s how fun it is! @Phillies#mlbontbs
His production declined every year he was here; he’s no longer a superstar. He had a statistically identical season to Michael Wilson last year.
Fun fact about Michael Wilson— almost everyone reading this has to google whether he’s a real player. He is. He’s not very good, but he is (I just googled him again to re-verify).
@jawn_kruk@CryptoMorey@AndrewDiCecco All three happen to be great individuals. All different strengths. That being said, Andrew is my guy and can confirm he’s a workhorse savant.
@tzone383@Pat_Egan Yeah. It’s actually insane to say that a guy who’s been to two Super Bowls and won one can’t be the guy.
To each their own, and things change, but I’m siding with the champ.
@griff_howe@Pat_Egan I hear you, but it’s just so weird that Brown caught for nearly 1500 yards his first two seasons with the Super Bowl MVP as his quarterback.
@ClaytonManningg@PghPennStateDad@robl6634 Do you know how much easier it is to not taunt than to avoid a targeting hit with a split-quarter-second to react?
Not taunting is so easy. My toddler pee’d on the floor this morning and I didn’t even point and laugh.
@CoachRC23 What are we doing here? He was taunting the opposing dugout. You’re not allowed to do that. Plain and simple. The friends and family narrative has been debunked.
@Pat_Egan AJ Brown is not an animal to be trained. He has agency, and a responsibility to shepherd his own life and career.
If the Eagles and Brown want to move on from each other this badly, that’s a shared responsibility.
@sthorn_23 That’s like a football player taking their helmet off celebrating after a tackle… it’s a flag every time. You can’t do it, so you don’t do it.
You can’t taunt… so you don’t taunt. There is no postseason exception to the rule. This is so simple.
