@jonworth @ks_1968 It must’ve been a deliberate attempt to rattle some cages. Some sort of dead cat strategy? Brandon Lewis’s statement seemed a deliberate attempt to get everyone talking about it. I just have no idea why.
@lukasneville @OSorenson@emollick I used to file emails in a folder structure. Then I realised I never used the folder structure to find emails. A single “done” folder is working much better.
Important finding: sorting your email is pointless. Putting email in folders wastes an an average of 67 hours of your life a year. People who use folders take MORE time to find stuff compared to searching & are no more accurate in finding what they want. https://t.co/C1XjM7Kx0l
@JohnRentoul It makes me feel a little uneasy. It’s like Johnson is calling the EUs bluff. Even though a North Sea customs border would be technically required, he’s challenging them to say they’ll enforce it and prevent GB to NI exports.
@afneil Would it be fair to say there is an over-representation of fridge right-wing views?Delingpole, Liddle, Taki. I like reading a broad range of views but prefer The Times in that respect.
@ruperthewison @CatioMiles @mrsweller99 @JohnWest_JAWS Can she or would she? In absence of a court judgment, my feeling is she can but she wouldn’t as she’d be overstepping her role.
@ruperthewison @CatioMiles @mrsweller99 @JohnWest_JAWS To repeat, I’m not a lawyer, just mucking around on Twitter throwing around the limited bits and pieces of constitutional law I’ve picked up. 😅
@ruperthewison @CatioMiles @mrsweller99 @JohnWest_JAWS “Know” is a bit strong 😉. It was in response to your post about the queen refusing to sign an illegal bill. My point is that the legality may not be established at that point because the courts may not have been involved. So it’s signed on the basis of opinions and advice.
