Neuraxon agents started clustering together.

Nobody programmed them to do it.

Last week’s Neuraxon build added hearing as the fourth active sensory channel; joining vision, proprioception, and touch. Each agent can now listen to its environment, produce its own signature sound, and inherit audio traits from parents and peers.

Within the simulation, agents with similar sound signatures began finding each other.

Emergent behavior. Unprompted. Undirected.

This is the same pattern the team observed when agents evolved visual recognition of food sources and developed spatial navigation, without being told to.

The research principle is this:

Give an agent a sense. Give it heredity. Give it evolutionary pressure.

The behaviors that follow are not written.

They are discovered.

This is the accessible Lite build. The research architecture underneath it is the basis for two papers currently in peer review: one submitted to ALIFE 2026 in Waterloo, one to AGI-26 in San Francisco.
