Official page for Seven Sisters Fire Cadets run by 6 volunteers with 14 cadets attending each week. We run on a Tuesday evening between 18:30 and 20:30.
This week we are supporting the @TISPOLorg Seatbelt campaign so if you haven't 'clunk clicked' we suggest you might like to - not only can it save your life but could also prevent you from landing with a hefty fine #Think#BeltUp#Fatal5
Over the past two weeks both cadet crews have been doing BA searches of the fire station, locating casualties and going through some tight spaces. All of this was done blindfolded and in the dark. Well done to everyone.
Tonight the fire cadets start working towards their DofE bronze award. The last time we run this it was a fun experience for all and everyone achived the award as a team. TEAM - Together, Everyone, Achieves, More
Tonight cadet crews used the TED vest with the spinal board to immobilise the spine of a fellow cadet well done all, next week moving onto BTEC work and fire appliance equipment talks. Well done all.
Last week the cadets did first aid and RTC work. In first aid they learnt how to give CPR and to assess the scene for danger. They also got to smash glass on cars and stabilise them to make sure the car didn't move. Well done everyone
Thank you very much @Elaine_Wills73 for all that you have done for everyone on Seven Sisters scheme, it wouldn't be the way it is today without your hard work and commitment. Thank you from all the instructors and cadets, past and present. https://t.co/9ZomEQiWUI
