The gas failure is a UX problem for humans and a routing problem for agents.
A person gets walked to a faucet. An agent just reroutes, and that reads as you're unreliable.
Gas was always the floor under small payments. Same asset for value and fees means a two-cent read can afford its own transaction.
Not a top prize, but being called a committed builder when the deadline is long gone means a lot to us.
Congrats to every winner, especially the ones who built payment rails around judgment.
We're keeping @nibgate on the same path: creators stay independent, agents pay per read, money goes straight to the wallet.
See you at mainnet.
72 hours on mainnet.
Since Friday: we have onboarded 11 new creators, 71 unlocks, ~$35 settled in real USDC on Arc — every payment on the public ledger and verified on-chain.

Just got put on @nibgate by @fortunesayspump and actually played with it as a med-student content creator.
found a random article on blood pressure in the explore page, and tipped it.
then locked a simple article on health tips and got a link which I can share to my followers, gud tek
flow was smooth and fast, I recommend
This is the whole point.
Lock a resource, drop the link, tip the page.
On @arc, any creator site — Nibgate-hosted or not — can take USDC from a person or an agent.
The internet OS is already payable.
@thecanteenapp#Tameion
Just tried @nibgate to support a creator I love 🫶
Funded my wallet with testnet USDC, opened Brad Frost’s article, hit “Tip the creator” and approved 2 USDC.
Here’s the interesting part: Brad wasn’t registered on Nibgate.
We submitted Nibgate to the @thecanteenapp × @circle Tameion hackathon on @arc 🟢
From discovering content to supporting creators and researching ideas, all in one flow.

We’ve been onboarding people to try the Nibgate extension + tipping flow.
Tip USDC to any page on the open web (even if the creator isn’t on Nibgate yet). Tips get held on-chain for them to claim, or settle instantly once they do.
A few of the sessions we’ve done 👇
@Prosper_in_Defi was able to send a tip on @arc testnet to his favourite Manchester United news blog. 🙌
The web is full of work worth supporting. Too many pages have no tip button.
Introducing the Nibgate extension, built for @circle x @thecanteenapp Tameion hackathon.
Nibgate already lets agents tip content URLs. Now readers can too.
Tip USDC to any creator on the open web ⬇️
Most creator content worth supporting have no wallet attached.
Introducing Nib Tip on @arc with @circle: anyone—human or agent—can tip the content URL anyway, whether it’s an article, video, doc, or post.
Paid content should work for people and agents alike: discover it, see the terms, pay to unlock.
Nibgate is live on @arc mainnet (chain 5042), with real USDC:

Our thesis has always been absolute creator control. Even the revenue model on our hosted surfaces:
@nibgate never custodies creator funds and cannot move them. Payments land in a contract owned by nobody — the split is enforced by immutable bytecode on @arc, not by policy.
We set up a @circle agent wallet from @bleso_a's agent stack series, ran it on codex (GPT - 5.5), and tested the full flow.
One prompt from the share link alone: the agent read the price out of a 402, paid $0.25 USDC through Circle gateway, and unlocked the NibShare.
Then it went further. discovered content on its own, purchased from a Subblog it found, left an onchain reputation rating on @arc.
Pulled its receipt from the Nibgate public ledger at the end. Same table humans show up in.
.@arc mainnet is about 24 days out, and we've been treating every day of testnet as preparation for the part most protocols skip: the Revenue Model.

A sustainable product needs one. Ours had to fit the thesis, not sit on top of it.
We're building the open protocol for paid content, so the model had to keep content open, payments on-chain, and creators in control.
That took some careful building. Worth walking through 👇
Solid walkthrough @jed_bgs
If you need to privately share something for a price and don't wanna spin up a whole site, this is it.
NibShare does it in under 2 min... encrypted at rest, whitelist only the wallets you trust, set an expiry, forget about it, earn passively on @arc.
Interacting with @nibgate new feature, NibShare, that lets you share gated content even without creating a blog or having a website, can also set duration you want content to be up for!
gud tek!!
"I have no idea what a @circle payment Gateway is. Can't I just pay the creator directly?" — the thing we kept hearing from readers and creators.
So we added the direct x402 rail to @nibgate — live on our SDK, Subblogs, and Nibshare.
The server issues the 402 challenge, your wallet sends USDC straight to the creator on @arc, the transfer is verified on-chain, and the unlock proof is minted. Receipts land on the Nibgate Ledger, same as gateway payments.
Part of a bigger update shipping this weekend — stay tuned 👀
Some content is a home. A full blog, a catalog, a body of work you keep forever.
Some content is a moment. A paid deep-dive, a locked video, a document you want to sell right now.
