Boozer just had one of the best collegiate seasons ever and carries himself as a professional while this Aaron Nesmith regen thinks he’s god, it’s all noted DP
Developments ahead of the June 23-24 NBA draft: BYU's AJ Dybantsa has conducted formal visits with both the Washington Wizards (No. 1) and Utah Jazz (No. 2) while Kansas' Darryn Peterson only visited the Wizards and does not plan to grant anyone else a meeting, sources tell me and @JeremyWoo.
Both have believed in going No. 1 -- and now teams in the lottery are taking note of Peterson's decision to only give access to Washington.
Also Ive seen discourse around Key being a core part of the Jazz. Imo hes not the perfect fit next to DP/AJ,they’d flourish with a ballhandler feeding them imo..
But Key next to Boozer tho..fuck the defense bros we could be Jamal Jokic but with Kessler rolling instead of “Braun”
DP is a better prospect in my mind but are we sure an insulated AJ isn’t just a better bet? Its not like hes about to be tossed into an albatross of a roster (Wizards, Trae onball + AD toxic offense), I just cant get over DP having minimal influence on his teammate shot qual

@dunkballsprite As for ur horrible checklist(!!) analysis, why are u acting like his rim frequency isnt impressive when he’ll be lended more space in NBA when DP was practically inept at getting to the cup? Why will he peak at age 18 and be unable to tie his all-time feel and passing together?
@dunkballsprite Well I shouldve made it more obvious for u but I was inviting an actual reasoning for why AJ/DP leads a team to the promised land over Booz, or else u shouldve kept ur take to urself. Not sure why he wont keep up w/ DP/AJ considering he had a top4 college szn ever and they didnt
@dunkballsprite Ur take especially without any real reasoning behind it is worth as little as mine, so if ur not going to properly refute OP’s take (that’s rooted in reality) properly, keep that take to urself
@dunkballsprite Thinking athleticism is the end all be all for “upside” is a pathetic way of looking at basketball, not only that but it’s entirely possible Boozer’s upside will be the only one to actualize, the other two’s deficiencies are just who are they are, that won’t suddenly change
Doubt they have any say, but talking to a Jazz player late in the season after the JJJ trade, and they said the one thing the team was missing was a knockdown shooter at two-guard.
Even if they don’t draft Darryn Peterson, I suspect a ball handling/shooting 2 is a FA priority.
@goutahjazz14 Kessler’s turnover numbers on both sides is also worst in the league level, the thing holding him back, so that also needs to be insulated. But again all of this is just an idea/thinking exercise, I don’t Ainge is this bold nor would I have the balls to flip the switch this quick
@goutahjazz14 Also IQ has decently ++turnover numbers on offense, whereas Key’s is kinda bad only due to his scoring turnovers, his bad pass turnover rate is fine but the way he tries to carve his own lanes is still sorta loose. Also Suggs has unhealthy turnover rates which AJ & IQ can bandaid
