I spent many cycles this year on "Distribution". I've created a lot of stuff and it felt like a no-brainer to put at least some effort into distributing it, as per the logic of the image below.

I ended up hemming and hawing and not really acting on it, even in trivial ways. Perplex, I finally I sorted the mystery: I simply was't sufficiently proud of the stuff to spread it more than I already have.

Turns out I have a very strong sense of self-respect/self-regard/"pride" and that trying to ignore it in favor of what appears "rational" or "expedient" will just lead to it """"sabotaging"""" me at every turn. And I thank it for that.

and so began the year of finding and filtering for joy

from every scrap of garbage in observable proximity

i'm happy to report that an unintended side-effect of this vanity project so far

was not only a bunch of other vanity improvements

(like cleaning up a generally haggard appearance: eye bags, white hairs and all)

but also becoming a (mildly) more pleasant person to be around

as reviewed by a nonzero number of human friends
