They want us to pay 42m to a guy to rebound, make passing reads off the roll and catch lobs when I saw a rookie Dereck lively do that a couple years ago and Jd is not even as good a defender. It's not about how he improved or how young he is it doesn't make sense from a roster building perspective at all when Ausar is our defensive anchor and Cade is our offensive engine and we still have a need for a real second option.
@bcprice86@KuKhahil Some guys just become bad contracts quickly signed his contract years ago and it’s still not favorable. Same with poeltl, Lavine, jerami grant I can go on
He’s literally surrounded by #2 options which he is not doesn’t make sense to put that much into a center who’s not #2 on offense or a good defender. They want us to pay 40m to a guy to rebound and make passing reads off the roll when I saw a rookie Dereck lively do that a couple years ago.
@RichardPrince_ I would love to swap his development with dailyn swain’s but I wouldn’t want them to draft him without moving Ron first it would just be 1 too many non shooting wings
@Halbridious I mean I don’t kno if that’s the reason why but yeah I don’t disagree if the specific players they’re talking about is the Colby white types. I still don’t think that it’s stupid to want a high level guard tho. Agree w the rest👍
I agree a wing would be better but I think from the beginning with ivey that was just always the vision for pistons fans or the dbook dream going back to your original question. I don’t think it’s stupid because Kyrie and Luka worked exactly how I described and ar and reaves as well. It might be ideal to run actions with a wing to hunt mismatches but Cades bread and butter is the pnr w jd anyway. I agree a wing would be good but I don’t think it’s ridiculous to say a guard would be effective as well.
“Brigham Young taught that Black people were cursed and inherently inferior, declaring them descendants of Cain. He instituted a 130-year ban preventing Black men from being ordained to the priesthood, opposed interracial marriage using extreme rhetoric, and legalized indentured servitude in Utah.”
Fuck are you taking a class to “understand” this for fucking sell outs. I would never have stepped foot at that school when you know you’re a 1 and done. Even for the money yk you’ll be on an NBA contract soon and I’m sure any school would offer him a bag. They “welcome you with open arms” but have some deep rooted harmful beliefs about your existence.
@jacksontheboss4@TheDunkCentral@NBA__Courtside It’s great to be confident you wouldn’t get to the league or top 3 pick without it, but every interview I see of this kid it’s some of the most arrogant bs I’ve seen from a prospect before even getting to the league
@DanLewis1013814@esidery And I’m just pointing it out because it’s cool that LeBron is part of his story like passing the torch and gave him a nickname that’ll stick forever
@ManchaManu7@KuKhahil I’m not talking about negotiations I’m saying paying him that much is not worth it period. There is no negotiation. If you feel like you should be paid 44m go find your 44m I agree with you I’m just saying why THEY shouldn’t do it
@BallBoy721@KuKhahil And the scoring that the pistons need clearly needs to come from the perimeter anyway. What traditional big man can consistently score 20ppg in 2026 let’s be real
@lionswinone3@BoatShoeWoodson@EverythingxKing That was full of shit he’s smart as hell and been playing basketball his whole life. He knew he was ejected he just knew he left his team hanging with a dumb foul so he wants to ask “what that mean”
