an ICC arrest warrant does not expire and remains active until the individual appears before the court or the charges are dropped. if Dela Rosa does not comply, he will live under the shadow of these charges indefinitely, regardless of his political standing.

GROUPS PROTEST AFTER SENATE COUP, BATO RETURN
Civil society groups gather in an indignation rally in Pasay City on Wednesday, days after a Senate ouster which saw the election of Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano, and the return of Sen. Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa after months of absence.
The Senate has likewise placed dela Rosa under its protective custody after the International Criminal Court publicized its arrest warrant against him.
