The bad news is that we did not get into the festival we did not expect to get into. The good news is that I’m now free to publish a link once again!
Please enjoy the last short film I got to make before, uh, waves broadly.

I don’t love being perpetually broke but I DO love being the Brooklyn barista who unexpectedly speaks Mandarin to the incandescent delight of Chinese-speaking visitors

Reading a book whose lush descriptions conjure immediate thoughts of how you’d adapt them cinematically is at least as bad as unresolvable sexual tension. As one who’s experienced both very recently I should damn well know. UGH @Ada_Palmer why you do me like this?????
@Ada_Palmer I also had a teacher in high school who circled every existence verb in our essays and docked points saying we could find “stronger verbs” so I was forced to aggressively expand my vocabulary of verbs 😂 (I have Feelings™️ about his anti-exverb bias but it DID make me better)
@Ada_Palmer Am I drooling? I might be drooling 😳
I would LOVE to hear about how you accomplish this linguistically!! Like I noticed after I started studying screenwriting I started limiting my prose to what you can see/hear (like in a script) and that took my writing to a whole new level
On the train home. To my left: tall boy, nice butt, gorgeous hair. To my right: tall girl, black hair, tattoos, combat boots, eyeliner that could cut glass. This is the DEFINITION of a bisexual dilemma
Add to my ever-growing list of Shit I Need To Adapt @Ada_Palmer’s “Terra Ignota” saga. It’s like game of thrones but in the future and with an actual discernible moral compass buried beneath the mounds and mounds of human failure. I am obsessed.
