The ‘takfeer’ of Muslims I’ve witnessed online is mostly carried out by the Wahhabi brothers. Unfortunately, this is due to their inconsistent & incoherent ideology.

My request to the Muslim Duaat, especially my Salafi brothers, is that they address this problem academically.

I am aware of many Salafi brothers who are moderate in their approach and utterly disagree with this reckless mentality. But, unfortunately, because the Wahhabi ideology is loud on social media, the counter-voices are not being heard. And there is a genuine concern that the whole Salafi movement might be known as a ‘takfiri’ movement, which is of course not the case—there are many good people within this movement.

Considering the current situation of the Umma, the last thing we want is people unsolicitedly calling Muslims disbelievers. I have also been on the receiving end of their ‘takfeer’ on countless occasions.
