Been thinking about the “Clark sees the good in people, and I see the truth” line, and in context it’s maybe one of the more heartbreaking lines because she isn’t attacking Clark when she says it, she’s reflecting on how broken she thinks she is by comparison.

There’s a moment when Kara asks her dad why she has to leave, and she says her life is small and of no more importance than any other Kryptonian’s, and Zor El tells her it’s not small, it’s the unfurling of his life and her mom’s into a future. 😭
Saw Supergirl this morning and Milly Alcock I'm so sorry bro. You're great you deserved an actual adaptation of Woman of Tomorrow not whatever that was
I knew about the horrible needledrop in the final battle and even saw a clip of it. I did not realize how much worse it could be in the actual film. Genuinely who let that pass. Who decided “we need a cursive singing cover of that song here instead of the score.” Fucking wow.
Cancelled Wonder Woman game, Wonder Woman killing herself in mainline universe, no Wonder Woman show— AND MIND YOU, Absolute Wonder Woman SELLS, so then... Why? Why is the d o g getting an entire show before Diana is? God you freaks really hate women.
>greenlights a woman of tomorrow movie because he loves the comic so much
>approves a script that strips away all the story elements that make the comic work
>hires a director who strips away all the colourful visuals that the comic is known for
what did james gunn mean by this?
men hated supergirl (2026) because she didn’t owe them a damn thing. she was messy, imperfect and refused to let her world revolve around a male love interest. she wasn't built for the male gaze nor was the perfect superhero and that’s exactly why she was the perfect supergirl.
