This line from Atomic Habits isn't ready to leave my head:
"It doesn't make sense to continue wanting something if you're not willing to do what it takes to get it. If you don't want to live the lifestyle, then release yourself from the desire. To crave the result but not the process is to guarantee disappointment."
Death is so…I don’t even know mehn. My late sister was and probably is the most beautiful light skinned woman I have ever seen. It hurts that as years go by, her face has began to blur from my memory.
According to psychology, one of the most common mistakes people make in relationships is assuming that their partner thinks, feels, and processes the world the same way they do. This is called the false consensus effect. You project your own emotional patterns onto them. You assume that if they loved you, they would react the way you react, express love the way you express it, apologize the way you apologize. And when they do not, you interpret it as a lack of love. But that is not fair. People are wired differently. They have different attachment styles, different love languages, different coping mechanisms, different nervous systems. Your partner may love you deeply, but express it in ways that do not match your expectations. The key is not to assume. It is to learn. To ask. To be curious about how they experience the world. Because love is not about finding someone who loves you exactly the way you love them. It is about understanding how they love, and choosing to receive it for what it is.
I like how I live. Your decisions are yours and I won’t question or bother to ask why if it doesn’t directly affect me(like politics) Also, my decisions shouldn’t affect you unless it’s direct. Do you, I’ll do me.
I want to be disgustingly educated….academically and intellectually.
I want to know how the world truly works, why people think the way they do, and how everything connects
We are the only continent, the only race trying to be more Arab than Arabs, more European than Europeans, more American than Americans, and more religious than the places Christianity and Islam actually came from.
We literally want to be everything except ourselves
You could be scrolling through your phone or even laughing while seeing a movie. And suddenly you’ll feel that suffocating feeling or shadow of not doing enough.
A moment of silence hits you first. And then you ask yourself, “why aren’t I doing something or being productive?”
