The loss had a little blame for everybody. Jose, Paige and Jess played a part. But the reason people are mad at Arike is that she fragantly fouled on a 3pt play when they were up 4. The Dream were terrible from 3 btw. An 8yr vet should not fall apart in the 4th like she does

My last thought. Dallas aren’t contenders. You have the wrong coach. And you have the wrong players at the moment. Curt, start building your franchise dude. Go get you a real coach, people would die to coach Azzi and Paige, and I’m not bashing Arike but she just isn’t a fit for this team. Start building your franchise now. Your franchise is Azzi and Paige, you should start acting like it. Arike was never going to work with this team and it’s showing first hand why it won’t now. Jose and Arike a nice experiment but let’s move on

A quick thought on Azzi Fudd tonight.

Playing with great players changes you. Not the skill so much as what you believe about yourself. I felt that in the gym with Ray Allen back in the day, and it carried me through an All-Star run and the Redeem Team. You start to understand that you actually are the player you hoped you were, and everybody in the gym sees it too.

Azzi looked like she found some of that tonight.

She's played a little unsure at points this season, which happens for a rookie. Then she goes and has maybe the biggest All-Star Weekend anybody had, wins the three-point contest, and has a blast.

She was putting it on the floor tonight, getting downhill, rising into pull-ups without thinking twice.

Could be a one-off. Or All-Star reminded her she's got the ultimate green light and she's exactly who she thought she was back in Storrs.
