Occasionally brave; foolish, but always there. Music, books, human rights and a liberal dose of cynicism. Have been known to make some people laugh. Allegedly.

10 years ago I met a disabled little boy in a respite children’s home in Leicester. Only it wasn’t a respite for him, it was his home and he’d lived there for 3 years. His foster mum who he’d lived from birth died suddenly when he was 3 and he never ate or drank again. 🧵
Vaishnavi Sundar (1986-) Independent filmmaker & women's rights activist from Chennai. She founded Women Making Films & Lime Soda Films; produced India’s first feature length documentary ‘But What Was She Wearing?’ Started the #OurClothesOurChoice campaign #BWWSW@Vaishax
Melvin arrived to us via the pound on a cold January day.
He could only crawl on the ground, such was his fear of humans.
He’s been in gentle foster since then, with resident Springers for company & confidence.
Melvin is off to his forever home -we could not be happier! 🐶❤️
Heard the one about the Palestinian GP being jailed for 18 mo for not paying 100k tax? while the Sindo lists alll the white folk who quietly settle sums of 3/4/5/6/7/8/900k plus without seeing the inside of a court. Fairness? Decency? Bravo us. https://t.co/oOLAeSIFyq
I read this letter earlier. About 20 times actually just to make sure I wasn't dreaming.. its jaw dropping stuff @SimonHarrisTD @FinianMcGrathTD https://t.co/jfwXxN7DqJ
Just heard Home Office denied residence to my French neighbour - here 17 years, married to a British man, caring for her severely disabled British daughter. I am so ashamed of us.
Congratulations to all who fought long & hard to recognise the Irish women's right to make a hard, awfully difficult choice; a choice that no man, no state and no church should ever aspire to make for them https://t.co/ONJ30mAZqP #diem25
