🚨BREAKING: A highly foul smell spread across Gaza City overnight, leaving residents searching their homes and tents for its source.

Social media platforms were flooded with complaints from Palestinians reporting the same unbearable odor across large areas, from Al-Tuffah and Al-Daraj in the east to Beit Lahia in the west.

According to journalist Yousef Fares in Gaza, Israeli military aircraft dropped hundreds of bubbles carrying the foul-smelling substance across these areas, deliberately contaminating the air and spreading the odor among residential areas.

Since the Gaza ceasefire took effect, Palestinian records have documented 4,889 Israeli violations.

Under the 2025 agreement, the “Board of Peace” was tasked with overseeing the deal, supporting the ceasefire, coordinating humanitarian aid, overseeing reconstruction and recovery, and helping implement the phased Israeli withdrawal through an International Stabilization Force.

But it has not delivered on these commitments.

1,381 Palestinians have been killed and 4,757 wounded since the agreement took effect.

The Board was supposed to ensure agreed humanitarian access. Instead, only 34.9% of the agreed humanitarian and commercial truck flow has entered Gaza.

It was supposed to support reconstruction, yet approximately 34 square kilometers remain occupied.

It was also supposed to facilitate movement through Rafah, but only 39.3% of the scheduled crossings have taken place.

So what exactly is the Board of Peace doing while the commitments it was created to oversee remain unfulfilled?
