Every time I hold the government accountable for something the President himself promised, somebody says “The President means well, it’s his appointees who are not performing.”

Okay… and who appointed the appointees?

What exactly is the President’s job then? To have good intentions while everybody under him performs badly? You cannot give the President credit when an appointee succeeds, then introduce us to the appointee when something fails.

Accountability cannot have a different address depending on whether the news is good or bad.

When you were in opposition, criticism was patriotism. Protests were democracy. Questions were accountability. Angry citizens were suffering Ghanaians who deserved to be heard. Now criticism is propaganda and everybody should calm down. Power really improves the vocabulary.

Most people don’t know this, but @JDMahama made a very clear promise under the Adwumawura Programme. He promised to help create and support at least 10,000 businesses every year.

Government says more than 10,000 young people have already been trained and mentored and some have received grants. Hmm okay but training 10,000 people is not the same as creating 10,000 businesses. The promise was about businesses.

How many actual businesses have been created so far? How many are still running? Where are they? What do they do? How many people have they employed? This is not complicated. Can someone please help?
