Congratulations to all the winners of North East Trees' annual Poet-Tree contest, including 826LA students Sophia, Lilly, Fatima, Naomi, and Bernardo! Teaching artist Jessica Wilson led a poetry workshop with our students (pictured), and new nature poets bloomed!
Grown With Love is the title of a new chapbook by students in Dr. Bamotra's class at Roosevelt High School's Medical Pathway (it's also a good description of all our programs). Students celebrated by reading aloud their vulnerable, evocative poems that explore identity.
