I've been holding myself back from saying this, but actually none of this would've happened if both sides had done better.

Yes, Inflop should've planned things better, communicated more clearly, taken player feedback & complaints more seriously.

But players also need to act like... normal people & a grown adult. At the end of the day, these characters aren't real. They're FICTIONAL. They're ONLY REAL IN OUR HEADS. I never thought the level of parasocialism in this fandom was so intense.

If a character or content isn't your cup of tea, just IGNORE IT & MOVE ON. Instead, people threw tantrums, hurt real people's feelings, and watched months (or even years) of artists' & developers' work disappear overnight.

I fear some of the loudest people in this discourse have never worked in a professional environment. Imagine spending months or year working on a project, dealing with revisions, deadlines, overtime, only to see everything scrapped overnight. I've been telling my irl friends if something like that ever happened to me, I'd be losing my minds & probably kms in front of the office (sorry I'm not your strongest soldier 🫩).

Now, the damage is already done. Idk how Inflop is going to handle the damage control, but from my experience working with companies, this kind of thing doesn't get fixed overnight esp once authorities get involved. Everything has to be reviewed carefully to avoid another controversy.

Today it might be Valko's content. Tomorrow, it could be your favorite LI's content if the authorities decide they don't like it either.

And before anyone calls me an Inflop bootlicker... I don't work for a multimillion-dollar company but I work with them. And one thing I've learned is that companies operate the same way: they chase profit. Customer satisfaction is important, but usually only when it helps the bottom line. That's literally what businesses do. If you want someone to blame for that, BLAME CAPITALISM.

Yes, Inflop handled this terribly. Their management deserves criticism. But let's not pretend the community is completely innocent either. We all contributed to this mess in one way or another.

Instead of throwing each other under the bus, we should be focusing on constructive criticism & speaking with ONE SOLID VOICE. The game won't get better by players fighting each other. It'll only get better if we HOLD INFLOP ACCOUNTABLE & pushing them for better improvement.
