Today I am thinking about the brave individuals among our emergency services who were the first to respond to the horrifying events in Barrhaven one week ago, and those who continued that work in the hours and days that followed. The dedicated people who work at our paramedic and police services do difficult work every day. But no amount of training could prepare anyone for such an unimaginable tragedy. Their response was heroic, but it must also have taken a toll on every single one of them. Thank you to all those who work in emergency services to serve and protect us every single day. With your dedication and professionalism, you support us. And it's also important for you to know that we support you.
