Currently ranking the Top 10 Wide Receivers in TXHSFB history.
I know who the top three will be.
But how to order those top three is driving me insane.
@HoustonHero713 I certainly agree with you on track. I don’t think you can label yourself an elite athlete, football player if you don’t run track. That doesn’t mean you have to excel at track, but it’s a means to an end in my opinion as it relates to being a very good, skilled football player.
@HoustonHero713@clifford_crews D/FW been on this blueprint since I was a student-athlete in HS yrs ago. There wasn’t even a question if you were going to run track or not. Everyone ran; even hoopers like all state 🏀player and Ohio State alum Jamal Brown in the late 80’s, early 90’s at Arlington Sam Houston.
@JacquezGreen Semantics basically😂. The sinking of the hips that allows the player to come to balance as they are executing their route. If executed correctly, more times than not, a player will not slip or fall down. Hip drop…AKA a dirty tackle that hurts guys😂.
@boofpaxkgeeski@JacquezGreen There was a lot going on in the drill, but I do see the point. It’s a matter of preference. Good way to break up the routine of Indy drills too by combining a couple of drills. It’s also a good way to measure what your guys can handle.
@boofpaxkgeeski@JacquezGreen But that hip drop allows the receiver to come under control, as he has the proper arm action; to get out of his break without falling down to execute the comeback or hook route. “Nose over toes”. The size of a receiver will matter in executing the technique.
All attitude related:
1. YOU are the best player on the field!
2. Make plays, not excuses!
3. Good or bad play; it’s next play regardless! #REAL
Of course you’re going to block. Of course you will know your assignment, alignment, and be a great teammate. Coach speak. #CLICHE’
