We received the call for the Alberta Hockey Hall of Fame in 2012. The Hall is now located in the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre on the Red Deer Polytechnic campus.
Two of the four NAIT hockey players eligible for the CCAA Hall of Fame in 2027 laced up the skates for us.
Below are the numbers for top CCAA hockey players, top NAIT team sport athletes, top ACAC team sport athletes & top CCAA Hall of Fame team sport athletes.

Earlier this year, NAIT updated the Wall of Fame. We were a part of the most recent induction class in 2007.
Two teammates are among the six in ACAC men's hockey history to be named First Team All Conference on three occasions. Ron 'Amyotte is on the wall. Cleo Rowein is worthy.
Congrats to former Ooks curling coach Jules Owchar who's now an Alberta Sports Hall of Fame member.
Owchar adds to NAIT's presence in the Hall joining us, Ken Goodwin, Dale Henwood, Kevin Martin, Garry Meadus (as part of ACAC Founding Members), Lorne Sawula & John Utendale.
The Alberta Hockey Hall of Fame will move to the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre from the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame over the next year.
On June 9, 2012 in Red Deer, a get together occurred at the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame prior to our AHHF induction at the Capri Centre.
To mark 25 years at its current home, a special class will be honoured at the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame in Red Deer on September 27.
A number of us have crossed paths with one or more of the legends over the years.
Reach out & offer congrats to the legends & their families!

On Thursday, our captain, Tom Tookey, will be one of the speakers at the NAIT Men's Hockey 60th Anniversary Supremacy Celebration. He also spoke when our team entered the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame in 2017.
On this day 40 years ago, we downed York University 5-3 & raised the Altjahres Cup in Adelboden, Switzerland. We were the first of three teams en route to a CCAA title that would defeat the eventual University Cup champion. The 1985-86 & 1991-92 NAIT Ooks were the others.
Over a third of the 1983-84, 1984-85, 1985-86 & 1986-87 NAIT Ooks made it to the ACAC Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
It was great to reconnect & reminisce.
