It is a line that should not have to be crossed, but many traditional Catholics see the present situation as one of necessity.

There is nothing schismatic or disobedient about wanting to preserve the faith, liturgy, catechism, and traditions handed down by our fathers and grandfathers. My own family has remained Catholic for centuries, sometimes in the majority, sometimes under persecution, but always Catholic.

That is why it is so troubling to hear traditional Catholics described as suspect or schismatic simply because they want continuity. The concern is simple: institutions do not need to be formally destroyed; they can be allowed to die. Restrict the old Mass, discourage vocations, deny bishops, and eventually the line disappears.

Many traditional Catholics believe this is the long game. Those formed by the old catechism, the old teaching, and the old Mass understand why this matters. Those already formed by the modern crisis often cannot see the rupture, because they have already been taught to accept it.

This is not nostalgia. It is fidelity to what was received, and a duty to hand it on intact.

Quebec is a warning to the world.

The New York Times reports that Quebec now leads the world in assisted dying, with 8% of all deaths in the province by euthanasia — and 13% in one region.

This is what happens when a once deeply Christian society abandons the faith. It does not become more humane. It becomes a more efficient k*lling machine.

First, the unborn through abortion. Now, the sick, elderly, and disabled through euthanasia.

Quebec is consuming its own at both ends of the life spectrum.

The lesson? When a Christian culture abandons God, it commits cultural su*cide, which soon becomes actual su*cide.

The solution? The West needs to return to God.

17 year old Christian activist @YoungBobRB was brutally assaulted whilst hosting a debate stand in Manchester.

Few things to note:

1) At 28 seconds, as Bob is being beaten, you can hear someone in the audience shout 'fascist scum, off our streets'.

How ironic.

2) Mostly foreigners who assaulted him.

3) "Stand up to Racism" crowd were cheering on the attackers.

The left loves violence, because they can't rationalise their own positions, which leads me to point 4...

4) These debate stands are pretty pointless. You are not dealing with people who have arrived at their views in any rational way - it's purely emotive for them.

They will keep doing mental gymnastics no matter how good your argument is.

5) The police will likely do absolutely nothing about this because there is someone posting a mean tweet and that's far more serious.

"Give us 'this day' our 'daily bread'" seems to be a tautology.

This is because the familiar English word "daily" is translating the word that is used in Latin Masses, "quotidianum." Unfortunately "quotidianum" is not a good translation of the Greek word used in the New Testament, "epiousion" (Matthew 6:11). St Jerome, when translating the word from Greek into Latin for the Vulgate, used a much more accurate word, "Supersubstantialem," supersubstantial. Unfortunately, by his day, "quotidianum" had already become standard in the Mass, and nobody foresaw Protestantism or thought it might be important one day.

How different things might have been if the Western Church had become accustomed to saying "Give this day our supersubstantial bread. Ugly, perhaps, but theologically unmistakeable.

I drove for @hellofresh as a contractor. Thousands upon thousands of deliveries out of one of their warehouses.

The audits were run by an upper-management 'boss babe' who walked the floor pushing crystal therapies and demanding pronoun discipline. The employees mumbled the magic words and went home with pitiful paychecks. They could not argue with the woman who decided if they kept the job. That was the culture two years before the ad. The ad is what happens when that culture stops hiding.

HelloFresh does not even keep its own drivers. They ran on temp agencies. When they tried contractors like me, we cost more than the temps, so they cut their own people loose and went back to the cheapest body they could find. The company that will not pay its drivers fairly will pay a marketing team six figures to write this:

"For those of you who are… prepping… we have an extensive lineup of high-fiber recipes available. Happy Pride."

When a commenter floated the code BOTTOMSUP, the company replied with a real discount. "You ask, we deliver. Literally."

A meal-kit company has told you which one of your holes they want you to load their product into and out of. They capitalize on the gays as colons with credit cards. They think suburban moms are too dim to read between the lines. They think you will laugh and let the autopay roll.

This is the same company the Department of Labor caught using migrant children in its facilities in 2024. They blamed a staffing contractor. They always blame the staffing contractor. The company that cannot tell you who packed its food is the one marketing their products to customer rectums.
