Honestly, that's the standard playbook across all blockchain space.
The token price is supported by services built on top of the chain: they generate revenue, use part of it to buy the token, later sell it depending on market conditions, and repeat the cycle.
ICP's economics are fundamentally different. With relatively modest adoption (around 0.77T cycles/second, roughly 20× today's usage), the network can already cover its operating costs and start becoming deflationary.
That's something no other blockchain can achieve.
In fact, if $ICP relied only on transaction fees like every other blockchain, it wouldn't become deflationary either.
The key difference is that ICP burns cycles for all hosting, computation, storage etc.
Every application running on the network contributes to token burn, not just token transfers.
That's the difference between an economy driven by actual compute demand and one driven by speculation, trading activity and token propping.
