@westerosorg I'd like to think Dawn, given it's ancient history, shouldn't have a cruciform hilt, but sth more ancient in the design (see image below). Then, as described as "like milkglass" by GRRM, I always pictured it in my mind white and opaque, though "alive with light" nonetheless.
