Patient (F/5) who just hit 5yo last month has intermittent exotropia at distance - one eye will drift out especially when she is not feeling well/tired, referred to us by orthoptist.

We let her wear her spec for 4-6weeks & she will come for vision therapy,VT or in-office eye exercise. We’ll see how it goes.. we definitely need to devise the VT to better suit her.

Vertical diplopia (double vision)

Pt (M/71) has been seeing double vision since beginning of this year & he has been fully dependent on his wife when he is out & about every day.

He is still undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Safety is the main concern, apart from that is restoring his mobility independence - is what we aim to do through prism prescription glasses.

Myopia + Esophoria eye posture

Must be managed accordingly, otherwise her myopia will keep increasing
1) if we were to prescribe the standard single vision lens &
2) if we were to miss out correcting her oblique astigmatism

It is very important:

i) to accurately correct refractive error
- bukan cincai2 kasi chek mata ye kerana
(a) pemakaian power yg salah
(b) pemakaian kanta yg optical point tak selari
akan menyebabkan mata semakin lemah maka power semakin naik

ii) to look at eye alignment or eye posture
- boleh bagitau kenapa power kita asyik naik

Kenapa nak chek banyak?

Dah tahu banyak, nanti nak kena buat banyak pulak

Tapi kita tak meragui diri sebab kita hanya akan buat yg terbaik.. sama jugak semua optometris komuniti
