The scene is set after Turning Point 2 (LN Vol. 6) — the first time Rudeus meets Orsted the Dragon God, and they are defeated. On the way home, Eris holds Rudeus's head in her lap and runs her fingers through his hair. She feels she was not strong enough to protect him.
