Thai soldiers have encroached at least 200 metres into Cambodian territory, erecting barbed wire fences and cutting off six Cambodian families from their homes in Prey Chan village, O Beichoan commune, Ou Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province.
Out of respect for the ceasefire and to ensure the safety of local citizens, Cambodian forces have not responded with violence, as they await instructions from the national level, according to provincial governor Oum Reatrey.

Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defense on August 3 urged the international community to intervene urgently, warning that Thai forces may be preparing to launch coordinated attacks along the border in violation of the ceasefire.
