The other day I was talking about the dehumanising housing conditions of police officers, the tins (unipots). I’m made to learn that it’s actually a privilege to get them, and that it is the same for Prisons officers. For Prisons, I’m told that some of them stay in dormitory settings, separated by curtains, with wives! If one has money, they can build their own on Prisons land, which they can sell or rent out upon being transferred. And because these institutions do not usually entertain free speech, the officers just accept their conditions to avoid reprisals. But, with all the money wasted in this county, can’t these officers (especially in low ranks) be thought about as well to live decent lives? Their work itself is already a sacrifice, why add on the burden of housing them like building site materials! The problem is not that the country can’t afford. Its priorities.
General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni likely incapacitated from serving as President of Uganda on account of advanced age has been toppled by his infant son. I cannot remember his name. The infant tyrant has embarked on abrogating all freedoms and liberties entrenched in the post revolution Constitution. Our sympathies to the People of Uganda.
From inside the palace: Uganda President Yoweri Museveni's son-in-law Odrek Rwabwogo says he's extremely worried to the core about the direction the country is taking.
Rwabwogo has asked Ugandans to unite and speak out.
He says the army and NRM's vote rigging, bribery, ballot stuffing, shooting of voters in the 2026 general elections and monetisation of the country's politics are a bigger threat to Uganda than foreign invasion, flooding, and earthquake, because now it doesn't pay to be good at what you do and as such, we can't get good leaders, good teachers, good doctors anymore.
Ugandans either forget too quickly, or perhaps we are simply naturally good hearted people.
I have seen many people, including some I never expected sympathizing with Anita Among after revelations by Muhammad Nsereko that she is battling blood clots and is currently in a sorry state
But I can not stop thinking about the countless Ugandans who have died from blood clots duringhwr tenureas speaker. I think about those who succumbed to illnesses far less serious simply because they could not afford treatment, while she used taxpayers’ money to enrich herself and finance political transactions.
Yes, she may have been serving a bigger master, but that does not erase individual responsibility. She had a role to play, and she played it.
My heart goes out to every family that lost a loved one because basic treatment or surgery was financially out of reach, while Anita Among lived in excess using resources meant to save those lives.
May Anita face judgment from her Creator.
As for me, a human being with blood and flesh, I believe in karma, and this should serve as a lesson to everyone in government, that the suffering you inflict on people has a way of finding its way back to you.🙌
SARAH BASEMERA ANNE :
was on national TV last year preaching rule of law to the nation, fast forward today she is covering her face and keeing an innocent & frail Erias Lukwago in prison. #FreeEriasLukwago#FreeUgandaNow
The best way to our brothers who migrated to Uganda in 1920s is just to understand the Italian saying: If you’re in Rome, behave like Romans.
If your great grandparents moved to Uganda and obeyed Ugandan laws, adopted our culture and language. What fuck are you who was born in Masaka or Mukono to discredit what your grandparents RESPECTED.
You can’t continue paying allegiance to Kigali where you don’t have a home or even you will never be buried. And when we say you guys go back to your lineage, then you bring the tribal card 🙄
Finally, you must behave like African-Americans whose great grandparents were shipped to America 🇺🇸 as slaves but they adapted American 🇺🇸 culture and they are Americans but you an arrogant fellow you who wants to show us that you have power because your own ancestor managed to misrule the nation in your favor. You need to respect our heritage and appreciate our Africanity and brotherhood but not behave like you’re better off citizens than indigenous ones.
YOU WERE BORN IN MASAKA, ADAPT THE MASAKA TRADITIONS AND RESPECT NATIVES.
Just to be clear: AAA is not falling because of her corruption. Otherwise, all thieves would be falling – they are soo many and there is just so much evidence if CID had motivation to. AAA is falling because (a) she angered someone deep in the deep state & (b) a major transition is happening. She might not useful to the new sheriffs in town.
Corruption or lacking refinement has never been reason for anyone’s downfall under brother Museveni.
