40 years ago, Software Projects was marketing Jet Set Willy, the highly anticipated game from Manic Miner creator, Matthew Smith. Like its predecessor, it was a flip-screen platformer - only far bigger and more ambitious. And bugged too. Early versions were impossible to finish!

@MattsGeekCorner I only played the game in its final patched state and never the release version which I heared was disapointing. I absolutely loved the game and would probably go as far as saying its a top 5 PS4 game for me. I fully recommend it to anyone who hasnt played it.

@LoveRetroBTW Ridge Racer blew me away and I ended up buying a PS1 over a Saturn. Its only in recent years that ive purchased a Saturn and and found a new love in Saturn 2D Jap games. So many gems went unnoticed in a time that was obsessed with 3D games.

Got to talk about Super Mario RPG's remake on DF Direct today! I really like what they're doing with it but I have some performance related quibbles! I think the visual upgrade is tremendous, though, and a giant leap over the pre-rendered look of the original.
