The way @tehseenp ignores provocations and stays on the track with his point is absolutely brilliant and he deserves all the admiration for the same. Calling him name was uncalled for. It only showed the discomfort of the @BJP4India spokesperson on the matter of #UGC and #ScStAct Great speech👏👏
Did the mock parliament get adjourned sine die? Which party staged a walkout? Who went into the well? Well, if none of the above happened, it wasn't a parliament session!
Archaeologist here, the structure beneath Babri Masjid was definitely a Vaishnav temple, in all likelihood dedicated to Ram. I wonder what does he even mean by "archaeologist's interference" here. No offence to historians but it is the archaeologists who explore, dig and unearth the past, not historians sitting in AC rooms who interpret historical data as it suits their narratives. Also, I wonder why doesn't he talk about the destruction and subsequent disappearance of the Treta ke Thakur inscription issued by Jaichand Gahadvala in the 12th century. Destroy the evidence and deny it ever even existed.
Marya your three points progress has no links with alcohol ban but linked with purely governance.
So can you point to any developed country with kind of blanket ban on alcohol apart from a few Islamic countries, where development is all bcoz of oil money.
Calling Bihar a “walking museum” because it has prohibition is a remarkably narrow view of development.
Look at the social transformation:
• Girls’ secondary school enrolment rose 32% because of the bicycle scheme; the gender gap fell 40%.
• Women now account for 55.35% of elected panchayat representatives, following 50% reservation.
• Women police personnel increased from 14,447 in 2021 to 24,295 in 2023.
• Bihar introduced 35% reservation for women in government jobs in 2016.
Yes, prohibition deserves scrutiny. Enforcement, illicit liquor and economic costs are legitimate concerns. Bihar has enormous unfinished challenges on jobs, investment and tourism. But reducing two decades of social change to the absence of liquor shops is to ignore a significant part of Bihar’s story.
All this photographic views & listing of Patna Museum is all great & gaga for a few days.
But it won’t push the tourism, bcoz of poor infrastructure & alcohol ban.
I being a born Bihari won’t like to visit the state for any of my events or celebrations bcoz of the two reasons.
Enough of reading posts
about Patna museum.
How has it helped in attracting tourists in Bihar ? how much it helped in improving finances of Bihar ?
Bihar needs money to develop. Not rankings by some private institutions.
Hope that it will now translate into finances .
@Nalanda_index@IndexBihar
No amount of boasting can bring tourist to Bihar .. like museum Bihar is fossilised.. we are walking museum..
whatever Nitish did in his first half was counterbalanced by booze ban and bureaucracy rule ..
We are doomed because no talking about lifting alcohol ban ..
A modern state is incomprehensible without alcohol
Either die a normal person with ethics and shame
Or
You progress to Bhajipao National President by s**king on to your Leader s*hit and praising him and giving credit for the works where his contribution is equal to your contribution to the development of your constituency.
The Bihar Museum has been ranked No. 1 in Asia and among the world’s best!
This is a proud moment for Bharat, bringing its glorious civilisational legacy into the global spotlight. True to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji’s vision of ‘Vikas bhi, Virasat bhi’, Bihar is embracing modern development while rekindling pride in its rich heritage and cultural identity.
Nitish Kumar's Bihar Museum: Timeline
2011 - Idea conceived
2012 - Tenders invited
2013 - Foundation Stone
2015 - Inauguration by Nitish Kumar
Yet, as per BJP president Nitin Nabin, credit goes to Modi even though his contribution is 0
Shame shame .
Rahul Gandhi seems to have developed a very predictable relationship with Indian business.
First Ambani. Then Adani. Now Tata.
Different company. Same conclusion: somehow every large corporate dispute eventually leads back to Modi and Shah.
Now he says Tata is being “criminally destroyed” and Indian business is being treated like a political plaything.
But there is a basic problem here.
A boardroom dispute is not automatically a crime.
A shareholder disagreement is not automatically state interference.
A contested corporate decision does not become criminal merely because you add the word “criminal” to it.
The Tata issue already has enough real questions: governance, board independence, shareholder rights, listing and control.
Those deserve scrutiny.
But if every commercial dispute is forced into the same political template, analysis becomes conspiracy by habit.
At some point, one has to stop seeing the same ghost in every boardroom.
India needs politicians who understand business before diagnosing it.
