We have moved over! Great to see hundreds of AOS players in the new community, including many familiar faces. This account will be deactivated shortly.
@AelvenPainter Great points, hopefully event seeding will be easier with 8Realms! It's best to think of AOS skill like motorsport, where it's a combination of vehicle and driver that determines your ranking. I've written an article about how accurate 8Realms ratings are: https://t.co/WcVpzUXic0
@JustPlay_Richie, everyone who attends your AOS 4 events has an 8Realms Elo rating! No matter how big or small the event, players are ranked based on their per-match performance. Take a look here: https://t.co/HnPLhQ9fFG
@Dan_Sidders@Dan_Sidders The updated 8Realms Ranking now includes the latest PubHammer! Doesn't matter how big the event is, players are ranked based on relative performance in an Elo system, so everyone gets the most accurate rating possible.

And our new top 20! Plenty of these players will hit the magic 25 games by Christmas which makes their rating 'true' - and a reliable indicator of their skill level
@AelvenPainter Hey, thanks for letting us know! We've been able to reproduce the error on mobile, sometimes your browser doesn't update the page when it has been to a website before. A 'hard refresh' - or selecting desktop mode on your phone's browser - fixes it.
Our top 20 is taking shape, too. These rankings aren't 'true' until a player has 25 matches recorded, at which point their Elo score won't be italic anymore. Read more here: https://t.co/WcVpzUXic0
ELO rankings for AoS! NGL, I have always been curious about such a thing. Don't really pay much attention to rankings and stats these days but I'll keep an eye on these for sure. Very interesting.
Our first ranking is live! If you've played at an AOS 4 tournament in the UK, you probably now have an Elo rating. Check it out here: https://t.co/HnPLhQ9fFG
