@BritSimonSays Hi Simon, been a while haven't caught up. DV2021, RFS & at interview processing email stage, no interview, no visa. Is there anything I can do? Anything new?
Thanks
@BritSimonSays@Tizor87@DASimmigration@sDiversityVisa It was a rhetorical question to show the unfairness of the arrangement. However, it WOULD turn out to be wrong of you if you defend the lawyers on this specific matter, or think they were right to do so. I know it's their suit therefore they set the conditions, but it's unfair.
@BritSimonSays@Tizor87@DASimmigration@sDiversityVisa Simon, it's wrong of people to insult you or lawyers. But the only wrong of lawyers is the paying arrangement they did for the lawsuits. For 2 countries, it's risk free, whilst for all others, it's a 50-50 chance. Why must others gamble while 2 countries lose nothing?
@BritSimonSays @Hozell1903 @CCuck@gsiskind He didn't necessarily say, but that's the most reasonable explanation. Otherwise, why didn't he grant class? Government didn't listen this year as they didn't last year. Why wasn't he "impressed" by arguments for class? 25k is considered a class by itself, forget all others lol.
@BritSimonSays @Hozell1903 @CCuck@gsiskind They are related. The judge's decision to not grant class action this year, as opposed to last year, when the government has demonstrated the same inactions, is because of high number of plaintiffs. If low number then judge wouldn't just give relief to them, but consider all.
@BritSimonSays @Hozell1903 @CCuck@gsiskind For everyone else, paying to get on a lawsuit increases chance but doesn't guarantee visa, and money is lost if no visa. By the above arrangement, there is 0% risk since nothing was paid. It's unfair because there are people in other countries who couldn't afford to pay at first.
@BritSimonSays @Hozell1903 @CCuck@gsiskind It wasn't a secret, but it was unfair such that there were some special conditions as in people who live in Iran/Africa don't pay at first but pay after getting visa. I believe that's why the plaintiffs' numbers are high. I may be wrong on this matter, but if true it's unfair.
@BritSimonSays@lukacicinsain@cincytwboy And if you meant the embassy CAN say who to interview by requesting KCC to send the case ONLY if the person was DQ, then what was that joke of a reply the embassy supposedly got from KCC? Does the embassy not know they're supposed to provide slots to KCC? That's my point.
@BritSimonSays@lukacicinsain@cincytwboy If embassy cannot say who they want to interview, then do explain the meaning of embassy requesting KCC to send a person's case to them, as my embassy told me, or as Luka mentioned, "KCC was specifically asked for our case by our embassy".
@lukacicinsain@BritSimonSays@cincytwboy On top of that, I am DQ since Nov20. Pretty sick joke, as expected from a government who believe & act like they're the head of all countries, and yet have incompetence and illogicalities within themselves.
@lukacicinsain@BritSimonSays@cincytwboy And, in May, my embassy said they will ask KCC to send my case to them to schedule me for an "earlier than July" interview. The embassy got back to me saying that KCC replied to them that "KCC only schedules once interview slots are available as defined by the Post". So.. 1/2
@BritSimonSays@RichardLule5 I'm not getting it, you mentioned in your live that JM has applied the same mindset for DV2021 as DV2020; yet he wasn't satisfied with arguments of class action. In 2020 a class action was requested, he granted it, and the same was requested this year, but he wasn't convinced..?
Simon, I understand we don't have that in DV2021. But the question is why? What kind of arguments were "not so convincing" for JM to withdraw the class action? The only literal difference is paying vs. not paying lawyers. Even the plaintiffs' numbers are high, 20000+.
@BritSimonSays I became DQ Nov2020, but unlocked and DQ again in March2021. Embassy scheduled 50+ new cases 2 weeks ago, 30+ cases month before that (so they're active), but not mine. So, either unlocking delays processing/scheduling, or they don't schedule based on DQ date. Wth.
@BritSimonSays I understand organisational structure and chain of command, but what I don't understand is the tiered system being a mere "detail", as you call it. Thus is literally a "pick out your immigrants" strategy.
