Most people I know don't care for the idea of the #metaverse. "Too weird." "Kids these days..." 🤷
I'm old enough to remember when people said that about social media (Web 2.0)...& yet here we are.
Hopefully, the next generation of the internet will be healthier than this one.
We're dreaming of a 3D #metaverse hub that connects hundreds of #Web3 projects & welcomes the next wave of early adopters to the future of the internet. ♾

I think an interesting topic of conversation would be, what does it mean to be:
1. Biased something is good/bad
2. Believe something is good/bad
3. Know something is good/bad
And is part of our problem that life is not that definitive and good/bad isn't the question?
There are some amazing people in the THR community. I'm grateful to all of you. You bring me happiness, peace, healing, and hope. Hard to describe, I guess you'd say I finally found where I belong. And some of you refuse to let me forget that. THANKS! 😍

Everywhere I look now, I see Fear, Uncertainty, & Doubt (FUD) being weaponized against transformative solutions that can help people.
Hopefully our world can take a big step forward in understanding the psychological games taking place...and I hope we do it fast.
I want to live in a world where people are listening to each other, helping others when they can, and not judging people/things they don't understand.
It starts with simple solutions like Harm Reduction (switching dangerous things for safer things).
“It is of great importance in a republic not only to guard the society against the oppression of its rulers, but to guard one part of the society against the injustice of the other part.”

We, the people, are often to blame. In democracies we elect leaders, but then outsource oversight & critical thinking while in the pursuit of other things. Decay in our ability to make informed decisions follows.
We must focus on informed decision-making as the way forward.
Risk may also lead to better mental health, better financial health, & a more informed society. It also leads to hugs.
But who decides when hugging is safe enough?

The requirement of "safe" troubles me. If absolute safety is the only option, we're all in trouble.
- Water isn't safe (drowning/contamination)
- Food isn't safe (poisoning/obesity)
- Vaccines aren't safe (side effects)
- Cars aren't safe (crashes)
What is truly safe?
Born in 1982, it’s been a weird life. Got a typewriter for Christmas one year. Great Recession just after college.
Two thoughts:
1) Glad to see I’m finally at one of “best at something” ages.
2) Why the bleep are you calling my peers, 36-year old wife, & I “Geriatric”? 👴👵
