NEW: The spring 2025 sitting of the legislature was dominated by controversy over Bill 5 and special economic zones, where laws could be set aside.
Days after the law passed, the government started asking staff what it should actually use it for. #OnPoli

🚨Imagine declaring a trade war and then saying: “We’ll be ready in ten years.”
The Prime Minister declared that Canada is in a trade war.
So why are we building the infrastructure to fight it on business-as-usual timelines?
Canada urgently needs new markets, but we need the infrastructure to get Canadian energy, minerals and products to them.
Look at the projects we are counting on:
Vancouver port expansion: eight years or more.
Port of Churchill: no firm completion date.
Gull Island hydro: about a decade.
Major LNG capacity: into the mid-2030s.
Germany built its Wilhelmshaven LNG terminal in 194 days.
Canada has moved with extraordinary speed before. We have built ports, railways, factories and infrastructure when the moment demanded it.
So this is not a question of whether Canada can move faster, but whether we believe the moment is urgent enough to do it.
My appeal to the government this fall is simple: Move Faster.
Canada cannot spend the next decade preparing for a trade war that is already here.

Thrilled to hear Mark Carney’s bleak forecast. Disabled communities have already been buried under systemic neglect and starvation benefits, so "tough times" sounds like a regular day. ⚰️
How much worse could it get for us? We are already at the bottom due to government neglect.
