Ever want a laptop that could work hand in hand with your Android phone? You’re in luck. The Googlebook, our multi-year endeavor to bring the best of the Android ecosystem to a laptop, is available for pre-order. Here’s a quick look at what’s new:
Your phone and laptop now function as a single, connected system. Pick up tasks seamlessly with “Continue On,” open apps right from the laptop taskbar, and access the entire Google Play Store library. 📱💻
We have a new key called Quick Insert (my absolute favorite key now) that makes Copy & Paste less of a back-and-forth with clipboard history. You can also open Rambler, a new voice-to-text engine that turns unstructured rambling into neat text documents. 📝🎙️
Now you also can wiggle the cursor to bring Gemini directly to whatever’s on your screen for instant, contextual help. Like figuring out what that building is in an image, or waving it over an email to check if it is spam. ↖️✨
Pre-orders begin today at the Google Store, Best Buy and global retailers, with the flagship lineup hitting shelves October 4th in the US and 5th in 🇨🇦🇬🇧🇮🇪🇩🇪🇦🇺
Reserve yours: https://t.co/jtMENLlLvS
I am open again for feature requests ⬇️ (I will regret this 😂)

Here’s what to know about Googlebook 🧵👇
Few allegations are in the media that the MDR has been introduced because of external pressure. They are giving reference to US Trade Representative (USTR) report of 2026. The USTR report has raised the following two issues:
(i) Inability of US electronic payment services suppliers to participate in the UPI ecosystem, including credit transactions on UPI, on a level playing field with RuPay.
✅ Reality:
The NPCI circular of 15.9.2026 does not allow credit transactions of UPI by any other credit card other than RuPay credit card. There is a clear policy of only allowing RuPay credit card on UPI to enable RuPay credit card to become the preferred choice of credit card amongst users in India.
(ii) NPCI market-share limitation of 30 per cent for third-party application providers (announced November 2020; enforcement date December 2026)
✅ Reality:
Although, NPCI had mandated market share limitation of 30 per cent for third-party application providers in November 2020, however, this mandate could not be implemented because companies other than the market leaders could not compete in absence of self-sustaining revenue model. Introduction of MDR on select high-value transactions will provide a self-sustaining revenue model to smaller companies to compete for higher share in the UPI ecosystem. Thus introduction of MDR has been done with the intention of allowing more domestic companies to expand their operations.
2.Contrary to misleading claims made that MDR has been introduced under external pressure, introduction of MDR on select high-value transactions will enable more domestic companies to operate under UPI. Thus, the action of introduction of MDR is a step in protecting India’s sovereignty in Electronic payment ecosystem.
3.Government of India has promoted RuPay credit and debit cards to show that people have a strong domestic alternative. In order that the RuPay credit cards continue to grow, the debit card has been kept free of MDR.
The allegation that MDR has been introduced under any external influence is patently false and misleading.

I was just in Mumbai, and I have to give them credit for the progress they’re making on infrastructure. The new Aqua Line metro is phenomenal. But the amount of work India still has to do on basic cleanliness and sanitation and it is hard to understand until you see it yourself. Would love for more westerners to go just to understand how wealthy they are, but that's a different point.
Mumbai is completely surrounded by water, yet there are almost no places where people can actually enjoy the water. The beaches are filled with trash, the water is badly contaminated, and almost nobody swims, even when it’s brutally hot outside. Walking on the beach is just mud and trash meeting filthy water on the horizon.
There are much poorer places around the world where people can still use the beaches. This is not just about money. India has gone decades without adequate trash collection, sewage treatment, or enforcement for a population of more than a billion people. At this point, the scale of the problem feels almost impossible, and the oceans around the world are paying the price for Indias garbage output as well.
I like the direction Modi is taking the country, but India needs to treat cleanup like a national emergency. Stop with the small campaigns and organize a full scale blitz.
Offer unemployed people paid work picking up trash, clearing drains and waterways, cleaning beaches, and maintaining public spaces. Give them proper equipment and supervision. Then build the collection and waste processing systems needed to stop everything from becoming filthy again a week later.
India has shown that it can build metros, airports, highways, and digital infrastructure. Clean streets and usable water should be treated as infrastructure too.
Mumbai should have one of the greatest waterfronts in the world. Instead, it's has basically an irrelevant feature of the city and feels surrendered to sewage and garbage.
Wish me luck, folks. 🤞
At the office of an engineering major. They want to begin an SIP for their employees but with a customisable lock in.
if the employee stays for X years, they get the units, if they quit in between, the co retains the amount.
We are working with an AMC to enable this facility using 'lien'.
Just figured out where these fake tariff rates come from. They didn't actually calculate tariff rates + non-tariff barriers, as they say they did. Instead, for every country, they just took our trade deficit with that country and divided it by the country's exports to us.
So we have a $17.9 billion trade deficit with Indonesia. Its exports to us are $28 billion. $17.9/$28 = 64%, which Trump claims is the tariff rate Indonesia charges us. What extraordinary nonsense this is.
There is a lot of talk about what if cross 12.75... I will be hit with tax etc...there is a relief provision in Income tax if you just cross slabs so no worries there. This has always been there.
It is one of the greatest moves the govt could do for the lower middle class without disturbing the path of fiscal prudence.
Basically they have abolished income tax for 98 pct of population and focus will be on earning through indirect taxes.
A small shop factory owner with 4 adults can now show 48 lacs of income with no tax. This will create a huge formalization of the economy and will take away the incentive of trying to escape tax at lower levels .
Those in the higher brackets may not benefit much from this budget but will certainly benefit from the long term impact of growth of consumption and asset price growth .
I am happy to note that this has not come at the cost of increased cap gains tax or estate tax etc.
The government has delivered .
There are many things about this viral post that I disagree with. But one thing is clear.
India needs a massive clean-up - in Mission Mode.
The air
The garbage
The plastic waste

Swachh Bharat 1.0 was actually quite a success in improving some problems such as open defecation.
It is time for Swacch Bharat 2.0
@GabbbarSingh The Cotswolds (Cirencester, Bibury, Bourton on the water, Burford, Painswick). I did this trip last December but we stayed for 3-4 days in the Cotswolds. Baath is good too. Stonehenge is over rated.
Having wealth is useless if it has not resulted in your having a better control over your time and if you are unable to use that to improve your own life.
