@RamonPang Some art is worth just waiting to experience. If you absolutely know it's good it feels less urgent to consume, because your experience will surely be incredible regardless. Cosmogramma definitely qualifies
@GreenVelvet_ This is true, most don't realize. The sound guy should be able to create a volume gradient throughout the night that doesn't neuter anyone but still gives the headline act a little extra oomph. I have also been asked to hi pass openers to 60hz before, which affects sound way more
@lucatimusic This feel like small dick argument. Obviously theres nuance involved but you should just be confident in your own set and energy if you're booked as a headliner. If youre worried about the opener outplaying you... Then maybe you're right. Maybe the opener is better than you.
@timsoret Christ what a pseudo-intellecual "I liek real art" stupid ass take. Guy sees leaked phone shots from set mid filming and says what happened to muh contrast, muh moody lighting, muh atmosphere. Why don't they just go to the fucking Lands Between for actual realism eh? Dumb maroon
@chrislake Touring DJs of a certain level (of PA not fame) will 100% of the time benefit from a proper sound tech, who knows their music and genre properly, A house guy may just turn the mixer feed up until its 'loud enough' and be done for the night. That leaves so much tuning on the table
@LevityMusic@phydra_ Feel like 'edit-core' has gotten people used to the super high tempo mixing, then that becomes the expectation regardless. It's harder to keep that mixing pace with 'real' djing than it is with build/drop switch up edits. Neither is more or less legit than the other btw
