We are entering a period of significant air movement, hosting several exercises through to December. From next week, we will host multiple aircraft types for sorties which will include low flying and periods of 24 hour operation. Every effort will be made to minimise disturbance.
It was a pleasure to welcome Christine Maxwell, The MoDโs Director of Cyber Defence and Risk. She saw how 90SU provides global comms & spent time at the Air Cyber & Information Services Ops Centre, which defends the RAFโs digital systems from cyber compromise 24/7/365 ๐๐ก๐๐ป

After 37 years of dedicated service across the RAF, WO 3 (FC) Sqn Andy Rice was clapped off the Station by 90 Signals Unit personnel. A fantastic guide, mentor, and role model, Andy will be sorely missed by all those who were lucky enough to work with him ๐๐
2(FC) Sqn completed Exercise ROCKDOVE, designed to assure and train personnel to deploy across the globe on Operations in support of air power and information advantage. The team was visited during ROCKDOVE by Support Force Commander, Air Commodore Neil Grant.
We couldnโt let the @RAFAssociation Virtual 50 pass without giving a final๐ to everyone to took part. To those who walked through the night, made the 50 miles hillier by throwing in the Yorkshire Three Peaks, those who ran in scorching heat of the Middle East, we salute you!
This yearโs 90 Service of Remembrance @Nat_Mem_Arb was scaled down, but no less poignant. A short service was followed by wreath laying by Wg Cdr Marc Norris, WO Gus Cunningham and Phil Caswell from RAFA. We will remember them.
Itโs International Women in Engineering Day, and the perfect time to celebrate the female engineers of all ranks who serve in the UK and overseas as part of 90 Signals Unit.
It was a privilege to welcome the Support Force Commander for a COVID-safe tour of the Wings and insight into the unitโs full capability. As part of his first formal visit, @NeilGrant_RAF met with personnel of all ranks, as well as getting hands-on with the kit.

As if an excuse were needed. ๐โ๏ธ๐ซ
Most of us are looking forward to more normality in the coming months, but in the Air Cyber and Information Services Operations Centre, nothing has ever changed. The team works 24/7, 365 days of the year to support operations around the globe. We think that deserves a Friday ๐๐
Itโs International Womenโs Day. Weโre proud to celebrate the vital contribution women make to all aspects of Royal Air Force life โ from communications and IT specialists and chefs to athletes, air traffic and medical care. Wherever youโre serving, we salute you all. ๐๐๐
