Unique Book Initiative: The Blind People's Association (Andhjan Mandal) in Vastrapur has launched the "My Book BPA" initiative to inspire people to disconnect from screens and start reading books again.
Donate Books, Pay What You Want: Under this unique concept, people can freely donate their books, and readers can buy any available book by paying whatever price they choose to decide themselves.
Massive Response: Within just two months of launching, the initiative has successfully collected over 4,000 books across Gujarati, Hindi, and English languages, covering diverse genres from science to fiction.
Major Contribution: A retired Air Force officer, along with colleagues, made a significant contribution by donating 1,500 books to the cause to help set up the initial displays.
Expanding Displays: Five special book display stations have been set up across the city—including two at the Vastrapur office, and others at locations like Usmanpura and Porecha Eye Hospital—to maximize public reach.

“Caste is uniquely Indian” survives because we use different words for similar hierarchies elsewhere.
Europeans had aristocracy.
Americans had race.
Chinese dynasties had hereditary status groups.
Japan had the Burakumin.
History is often semantics dressed up as moral judgment.
Usually, a mother-in-law welcomes her daughter-in-law home.
Today, the daughter-in-law welcomed her mother-in-law into her new home. ❤️
A beautiful reminder that love, respect, and gratitude make a family.
The rest of India can learn a lot from Gujarat.
